Obituary for Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Wheeler
Services for Barbara Ann “Bobbie“ Wheeler, 79, of Zwolle, Louisiana, are scheduled for 11 am, Friday, December 14, 2018, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.
Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.
Ms. Wheeler passed away December 8, 2018 in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was born November 18, 1939 in Fruitvale to Bennie D. and Lela Mae McDougal Wheeler. She spent her early years in Fruitvale, many years after that in Tyler before moving to Zwolle, Louisiana, where she lived for the last 25 years. Bobbie was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Zwolle, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; father of her children, Delmer Jeter; four brothers, Vernon Wheeler, Bennie J. Wheeler, Stanley Wheeler, and Larry Wheeler; two sisters, Katherine Abrahamson and Bettie McCellon, and two close friends, Ed Hooker and Laura Hadley.
Survivors include three sons, Greg Jeter and wife Terrie of Kapolei, Hawaii, Weldon Leon Jeter of Florida, and Billy Jeter of Kapolei, Hawaii; two daughters, Sheila Jordan and husband Jerry, Sr. of Zwolle, Louisiana and Shannon Dove and husband Rick of Costa Rica; two brothers, Charlie Wheeler and wife Linda of Fruitvale and Ray Wheeler and wife Dorothy of Garden Valley; one sister, Stella Noble of Turlock, California; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; special friends, Louise Veeder and Nancy Pratt; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Jerry Jordan, Sr., Jerry Jordan, Jr., Alex Jeter, Travis Jordan, and Rick Dove.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bro. Bennie Crittenden and Bobby Barber.
Interment will follow in Creagleville Cemetery.
