Services for Stephen Ray Spence, 59, of Emory are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Bright Star Baptist Church, Alba with Bro. Jerry Jackson officiating.
Interment will be in Pilgrim Rest #1, Emory.
Mr. Spence passed away December 16, 2019 at his residence in Emory. He was born February 18, 1960 in Dallas to Roy Lee and Margaret Delois Kirkpatrick Spence. On June 21, 2001, Steve married Donna Alayne Warner in Wood County. He lived most of his life in Emory. Steve was a very giving Godly Christian man with a servant’s heart and was known as “Pop” to his grandchildren.
Mr. Spence is survived by his wife of 18 years, Donna Spence of Emory; parents, Roy and Delois Spence of Emory; son, Andrew Spence and wife Courtney of Alba; daughter, Amber Haney and husband Marcus of Alba; step son, Blake Oelrich of Austin; brother, Keith Spence of Emory; two sisters, Aleta Wells and husband Milton of Emory and Thresa Matthews of Emory; six grandchildren, Layla, Emma, Sadie, Addie Mae, Owen, and Cullen; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Haney, Clay Harvey, Jason Wells, Angel Wayne Kirkpatrick, Randy Traylor and Dusten Spence.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Terry Kirkpatrick.
The family will receive friends, Thursday 10 a.m. at the church.
